What Is An Electronic Cigarette?
Electronic Cigarettes also called Vaporizers, E-Cigs, Vapes, and E-Hookahs, are battery powered vaping device that allows smokers to enjoy nicotine and non-nicotine solutions through vapors when inhaled. Smoking with electronic cigarettes is called vaping.
Benefits Of Electronic Cigarette
Save Money
In the long run, you will save money by vaping e-liquids over cigarettes. As you vape, you will be using less and the strength will be lowered. This way you can control you experience.
Better Smell
The smell that comes with smoking tobacco can be terrible. People tend to dissociate themselves from tobacco smokers because of the unpleasant odor. E-cigs do have a very faint, almost unnoticeable smell. Sometimes they can smell fruity or sweet, depending on the flavor.
No Ash
The absence of burning in electronic cigarettes means you won’t see any ash during a vaping session. Unlike the traditional style of smoking, you won't make a mess.
Vapor Over Smoke
Traditional smoking produces fire. Since there is fire, there is smoke. However, e-cigs don’t produce fire and they don’t combust. With no smoke, it only produces vapor.
More Control Over Nicotine
In tobacco cigarettes, the amount of nicotine present can't be controlled or regulated by the smoker. E-cigs users can put just the right amount of nicotine they want.
Health
Using electronic cigarettes have had a lot of people tote the benefits. Some people explained they're not coughing as much. A persistent cough that comes with smoking tobacco is eliminated because the toxins in tobacco cigarette are absent in e-cigar. Others say they can run longer.
Taste
It has been proved scientifically that smoking tobacco consistently reduces the smoker's sense of taste. It pretty much kills your taste buds. This is not the case with e-cig as they don’t affect the taste buds.
e-Liquids or e-Juices
E-liquids are the various types of liquids used in an electronic cigarette. It usually consists of an atomizing base like nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerin, and flavorings. E-liquids are also referred to as E-juice. They come in different flavors and are sold according to their nicotine strength.
Most e-liquids are combined with different flavors like vanilla to create a unique feeling of satisfaction for the vaper. Additives like distilled water are used to dilute the e-liquid when it is too thick for vaping. Nicotine salts are a more potent form which uses a slightly different base.
Types Of Electronic Cigarette
There are different types of e-cigs. There is the Cig-a-likes, the Minis, the Mods, and the Personal Vaporizers.
Disposable Vapes
A disposable vape is simply a vape pen that cannot be recharged or refilled. It is usually featured in a rectangular stick and it comes with lithium-ion battery, atomizer and a cotton filled with nicotine salt. There is no charging slot or a way to refill your liquid.
They are the hottest craze because they are easy to use, disposable and very portable. They do not require a button. They draw activated so simply take a hit of it when you feel like it.
Cig-a-Likes (Disposables)
Cig-a-like is an abbreviation for cigarette-like. It is an electronic cigarette that is designed to look and feel just like the a rolled up tobacco. They take the same size and shapes of a real cigarette. Cig-a-likes are disposable and they have a fire-like LED light at the tip when you activated them.
These are referred to as first generation e-cigar as they look like tobacco cigarettes. With the advent of Minis, smokers had an alternative that was closer to the traditional method with lesser dangers. The limitations with the Minis are small battery power and limited flavor.
Personal Vaporizers
Personal vaporizers (PV) don’t look like a cigarette. Despite distinctive features, PVs heat your e-juice to produce vapors like e-cigs. There are different types of personal vaporizers. They usually come with a battery, an atomizer and a mouthpiece. They are usually 510 thread connections.
Mods
These are the newest technologies in an electronic cigarette. Mods are an advancement of regular vape pens. They are usually bigger in sizes, with larger battery capacities, and more complex in operations than e-cigars.
